MGv

MGv is a Motif PostScript viewer loosely based on Ghostview 1.5. MGv is roughly equivalent to Ghostview with some extra features:

  • Nicer user interface.
  • More sensible zooming.
  • Arbitrary magnifications (up to the limits of your memory and CPU speed of course).
  • Rudimentary PDF support.
  • Anti-aliasing if your GhostScript supports it.
  • On-line HTML help via Netscape, libhelp, or any old HTML browser; if you use Netscape, MGv will maintain its connection to the browser with "-remote".
  • User configurable smooth scrolling.
  • Automatic decompression of compressed, gzipped, or bzip2ed files.
  • Multiple viewing windows from one instance of the MGv executable.
  • Support for non-default visuals and private colormaps.
  • Acroread style panning.
