LBV 2009ip in NGC 7259

image Discovered by CHASE (Chili).   This one turned out to be an LBV ( Luminous Blue Variable), similar to an Eta Carinae type event, and not a supernova.   If you read the attached ATEL you will see that this object went through a brightening phase, similar to that of Eta Carinae before it's great eruption of 1843.   We have a DSS Photometry reference image made by Odd Trondal.  Icon generated from the discovery image.   This supernova is in the Constellation Pisces Austrinus.
