First I want to thank Kai Krause for his nice pages containing Channel Operations tutorial. That was my start point. Then I took The Big Freeze idea from Russell G. Taber and as I know fire effect is taken from book called Photoshop Type Magic (haven't seen it yet, but they say it's pretty cool)
