ESPS/waves+ with EnSig
ESPS/waves+ with EnSig is a suite of programs used for analysis and display of time-series data. waves+ is an interactive data visualization and manipulation tool that's highly tuned for speech signals, but also excellent for displaying any time-series data. It includes a collection of programs to assist in computing spectra, analyzing speech, converting data, and applying time-referenced labels. By means of a flexible, open interface to the Entropic Signal Processing System (ESPS) and other signal-processing programs in your collection, waves+ can perform an unlimited variety of pre-defined and custom functions. waves+ is a research and development tool conceived and refined in the context of real problem solving in speech analysis, synthesis, coding, and recognition. The list of waves+ capabilities is extensive. EnSig is a graphical interface for interacting with waves+ that allows users to set waves+ preferences and behavior with simple interactive prompts. With EnSig you don't have to be an expert in the waves+ programming language to analyze speech. ESPS is a collection of over 200 UNIX programs for signal processing, data manipulation, data display and GUI building. ESPS includes signal processing and file I/O libraries comprising over 150 modules that permit custom C-language extensions of the basic ESPS program set at your site. ESPS programs may be combined using UNIX "pipes" to compose custom operations at your site without writing low-level programs. All ESPS programs and library functions are documented with UNIX-style manual pages. Additionally, an X-windows browser provides ready access to all on-line documentation.
