Chemical Resource Kit
The CRK (Chemical Resource Kit) is the collective name describing three chemistry-related software packages:
- Xykron is the local front-end/GUI/data entry/management application of the Chemical Resource Kit. It is used to generate and maintain the files that are used by Xortoth (the component that builds much of this website), and interfaces strongly with Xentark (CRK's ab initio computational component).
- Xentark is an ab initio computation package, capable of carrying out Hartree-Fock calculations, and retrieving a variety of data - including optimised structures, energy levels, and spatial molecular orbital distributions.
- Xortoth is a set of tools which makes the data used by CRK available online, displayable through thin clients, and searchable.
