fdtd2d
It is a Fortran program that performs 2 dimensional analysis for lossless dielectrics and perfect electrical conductors. The reason for making the program 2d is so that it can model problems several hundred wavelengths long. This was done to allow it to be used for optical problems. Three dimensional fdtd problems take too many cells to model real optical problems on microcomputers. The program has low reflection boundaries so that boundary reflections do not ruin the analysis. Keep the problem geometry at least 5 cells from the boundary edges to keep boundary absorption from changing the results.
