Calibre

The Mentor Graphics Calibre tool family was one of the industry's first products to focus on the challenge of physical verification of complex chip designs at deep submicron levels. The tools were introduced in 1996 to offer integrated circuit (IC) and application-specific IC (ASIC) engineering teams the performance and flexibility required to verify full-chip designs at geometries of 0.35 microns and below.

The Calibre tools verify that system-on-chip libraries comply with semiconductor manufacturing rules and that the electrical circuitry for complex chips is correctly connected to enable proper functioning.
