Embedded Empress RDBMS

The Embedded Empress RDBMS is an internet-ready applications development toolkit for embedded systems. Since its inception in 1979, Empress has pionnered and optimized its RDBMS technology to store and retrieve binary large objects (BLObs). In addition, the RDBMS engine is fast, has a small footprint, embeds easily, includes a JDBC/ODBC bridge, and supports Java applets. Users can also take advantage of object-like reusable components in the form of User Defined Functions. The Empress RDBMS is one of the fastest ANSI SQL technical databases available at a fraction of the cost of an Oracle, Sybase or Informix.
