aXe axe is a simple to use text editor for X that represents a significant improvement over xedit. Also built around the Athena Text Widget it features, amongst other things, multiple windows, buffers configurable menus, optional configurable button interface provision for defining keyboard macros file selection via a browser parenthesis matching, regular expression searching restricted or unlimited undo ability to change font both brief and comprehensive (hypertext) on-line help
