eXode The goal of the eXode (Enhanced X Open Desktop) project is to create a set of integrated tools (with a common, coherent and easily customizable interface) that allow you to manage a UNIX system (especially Linux) running the X Window graphical environment. We intend to make our tools work easily together as well as apart. Unlike other attempts at enhancing the X desktop, we don't want to provide a monolithic system that is inflexible to your tastes. We want to instead write a suite of small and efficient applications and allow you to pick and choose the ones that suit your needs. We also intend to make our tools as window-manager independent as possible.
