Linux Interface Project
The Linux Interface Project (LIP, for short) aims to provide a freely available, no-nonsense, commercial grade C++ application development framework and widget set for X11. Despite the name, its not inherently limited to Linux but may very well run on your favorite brand of unix. The core functionality is reasonably complete to serve as the basis for widget development by now. Current widget implementations are proof-of-concept -- designed to test the core functionality and show whats possible. Design-Work for the Widgets is an on-going process and not likely to be completed soon. Nevertheless, usable widgets are showing up as case-studies and several of them are already used as the basis for application development.
