INTERACTER

INTERACTER is a Fortran-based user-interface and graphics subroutine library which is designed to resolve the conflicting requirements of ease-of-use and portability. Conventionally, easy to use menu/form driven Fortran programs are usually tied in to a platform specific screen interface. This is particularly true where such programs also require graphical output. However, INTERACTER provides a comprehensive selection of routines which allow interactive Fortran graphics programs to run on a wide range of hardware.
INTERACTER provides over 450 routines to handle menus, data entry forms, text windows, mouse input, graphics primitives, presentation graphics, graphics hardcopy, operating system interface, etc. Distribution of INTERACTER-based programs is royalty-free.
Also available, is the INTERACTER Toolkit, a collection of add-on programs for INTERACTER developers and/or their end users.
