makepp

makepp is a syntax-compatible reimplementation of make designed for more reliable builds and simpler makefiles. Additional features include automatic scanning for include files (which can be extended for other languages), much simpler and more reliable builds involving multiple directories, transparent variant build/repository support, ability to use cryptographic checksum excluding whitespace and comments instead of date, rebuilding if the build commands change, logs build decisions for debugging, wildcards match files which don't exist yet but can be built, and extensibility by embedding Perl code in the makefile.
