GBB/NetGBB
GBB (Generic Blackboard Builder) is an object-oriented environment for developing high-performance software applications in which software modules interact in much the same way as human experts do using groupware. GBB is appropriate for building collaborative-integration applications; in applications where flexibility, extensibility, and reusability are important, and for integrating legacy systems into a single application. NetGBB, an extension of GBB, is a software tool for developing enterprise-wide distributed blackboard applications running on dissimilar processors located around an office, throughout an organization, or around the world. NetGBB provides remote evaluation, blackboard-object transfer, remote object modification, remote object retrieval, mirroring, synchronization, data translation services, remote debugging and error handling, event signalling, and connection monitoring.
