Compaq C for Linux Alpha This new package provides the same Alpha code optimization as found in the Fortran compiler, similar to the very latest C compilers for Tru64 UNIX (V5.0 and the DTK supplement for V4.0D, V4.0E and V4.0F). This compiler also extends the language dialect and diagnostic message controls found in the most recent Tru64 C compilers to provide better compatibility with gcc, and adds compatibility with the gcc command line to minimize makefile changes.
