Volsh

Volsh is a portable volume render based on a parallel implementation of Philippe Lacroute 's Shear-Warp Factorization algorithms. Despite its batch origins, Volsh is quite fast (sub-second rendering rates are possible on current generation single processors systems for 256^3 data sets and mutiprocessor systems can achieve multi-frame per second rates). To exploit these real-time rendering rates a Graphical User Interface, "Gvolsh", has been made available as of the version 2.0 release.
