polyr

A program to make polygons from a volume. Includes filtering, downsampling, isosurfacing, mesh decimation. The isosurfacing is done with the marching cubes algorithm. The input formats are: Analyze (ana/img), NCSA HDF, MultiStruct, Raw. The output formats are: Geomview (off), WorldToolKit (nff), Inventor (iv).

Example:

polyr -F 3 -D 6 -r 20000 -i mriHead -ana mriSINGLE 100
Filters with a cubic filter, downsamples 6 times, try to reduce the number of polygons to 20000, generates mriHead - an Inventor file. The input is the analyze files called mriSINGLE.img and mriSINGLE.hdr. The isosurface is at the value of 100.
