GEMPAK GEMPAK, the GEneral Meteorology PAcKage, is a suite of applications programs forthe analysis, display and diagnosis of geo-referenced data. Integrated data decoders allow ingestion of data sets available from the Unidata IDD data streams. Text-based and graphical user interfaces (GUIs) provide comprehensive data access. Through the incorporation of advanced diagnostic capabilities, GEMPAK has become a premier research tool for analyzing gridded data in the atmospheric sciences community. GEMPAK is used widely at universities for research and education, as well as by the National Weather Service and the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP).
