Hoard
Hoard is a fast, scalable, and memory-efficient allocator for shared-memory multiprocessors. If you are running into the heap contention problem (because of many threads calling malloc), you need this allocator. No changes to your source are necessary: just link it in. Hoard scales up to at least 14 processors.
