Quarks

Quarks is a Distributed Shared Memory (DSM) system. It consists of an user-level library and associated header files that support DSM on collections of Unix workstations. Basically, Quarks allows multiple computers on a network to run programs designed for shared memory multiprocessors. This means that it allows a group of computers to behave as a single faster and more powerful computer when working on problems designed for this system.
