Nexus Nexus is a portable library providing the multithreaded communication facilities required to implement advanced languages, libraries, and applications in heterogeneous parallel and distributed computing environments. Its interface provides a global memory model via interprocessor references; asynchronous events; and is thread safe when used in conjunction with the Globus thread library. Its implementation supports multiple communication protocols and resource characterization mechanisms that allow automatic selection of optimal protocols. The latest version of Nexus can be downloaded as part of the Globus toolkit.
