uC++
uC++ is an object-oriented programming language with high-level concurrency. The uC++ extends C++ with new constructs that provide light-weight tasks on shared-memory uni- and multi-processors running the UNIX operating system. uC++ clarifies and extends object-oriented concurrency and provides more generality and functionality than other systems. uC++ provides concurrency at the level of active objects with the following capabilities: statically type-safe communication, direct and indirect communication, the ability to postpone requests without inhibiting concurrency, and additional capabilities, such as coroutines, clustering of tasks and processors, and a highly concurrent non-blocking I/O library.
