Siscat
Siscat (The SINTEF Scattered Data Library) consists of a collection of object-oriented libraries (implemented in C++) for the
construction of surfaces from scattered data. Typical applications are geophysical modelling, terrain modelling and surface modelling for CAD applications.
The libraries, which are implemented in C++, are organized into several layers:
- BasicTools: Non-numerical utilities such as memory handling, basic array structures, menu system and
generic I/O.
- LaTools: Class hierarchies for representation of different vector and matrix formats and linear algebra
tools, such as direct and iterative solvers.
- ssKernel: Data structures and data interfaces, a range of methods for constructing explicit surfaces of two
variables.
- ssAppl: Generic applications for different problem areas such as large seamless terrain models and and free
form surfaces.
The BasicTools and LaTools libraries are developed under the Diffpack project.
