CLAWPACK Clawpack (Conservation LAWs software PACKage) contains software for solving hyperbolic systems of conservation laws in 1, 2, and 3 space dimensions. Hyperbolic systems that are not in conservation form can also be solved. High resolution flux-limiter methods are used, based on solving one-dimensional Riemann problems. In two or three dimensions, multi-dimensional wave-propagation methods are used. A number of examples are included with the package, in applications such as advection, Burgers' equation, the Euler equations of gas dynamics, and acoustics. The modular form should make it easy to modify and experiment with other methods, as well as to apply it to new problems.
