Xi

Xi is an interactive C-like programming-language with intuitively usable vector extensions. Therefore Xi is tailor-made for quick analysis and manipulation of data from numerical simulations or scientific experiments. It is capable of wide ranged numerical manipulations and visualization techniques producing pixel or vector-oriented output (including output for the raytracer Povray). Xi also supports the message passing system PVM to accelerate complex visualizations by using a workstation cluster as a parallel computer. At the moment Xi is under rapid development. The newest extension is a Java implementation of the two dimensional graph window.
